Elemental

A portrait of Aotearoa’s land, shaped by light, weather, and time.

Photographed across Aotearoa New Zealand, this body of work looks toward the land as both subject and language. It explores the dialogue between permanence and change with more traditional landscape photography styles. The way light traces across hillsides, how weather remakes the same view, and how human presence lingers even in the most remote places.

Each image is an attempt to listen to the landscape rather than simply record it, to acknowledge its quiet complexity and the sense of belonging or distance it can evoke. Together, they form a portrait of a place that feels both young and ancient, restless and still.
